Press release: 4Silence nominated for Competition National Icons 2016
Minister Henk Kamp from the department of Economic has announced that 4Silence is selected as a finalist for the Competition National Icons 2016. “We are extremely proud at this nomiation,” reacts 4Silence-CEO Eric de Vries. “Now we belong to the 10 most important technical innovations who on short and long term contribute to the economic development of The Netherlands. That is absolutely fantastic.”
From more than 60 entries de jury chose, under the leadership of Hans Wijers, 10 finalists for this National Icon competition. The competition is an initiative of the department of Economics and the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO.nl) and Technologiestichting STW. The purpose: to find pioneering innovations who show how social questions could be solved by technological innovations. And they should contribute to the economic development of The Netherlands on short and long term.
The first meeting with the 10 finalists took place on last september the 7th. CEO Eric de Vries presented the innovate Whisstone of 4Silence with pride. This October, the jury will announce which finalist will be honored with the title National Icon 2016. We will await the outcome with tension.
